Over the last week, many of you may have turned on the TV to see Celine Dion in an interview or in a talk show singing her song from the new album 'Taking Chances'. Some of you may know that I've been working with her for many years. And in this time I'm proud to say I've witnessed an incredible unfolding. During a recent taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show she triumphantly said the following: "My inner voice is stronger than my singing voice.
At any given time there are two voices playing in our heads. Which voice we listen to makes all the difference.
On which channel is the volume turned up higher? Celine told Oprah 'I used to keep everything inside; today I speak up for myself.' Her sharing of her spiritual growth can be a great teaching for all.
Are your words what other people want to hear from you, or your own inner truth? Are you channeling the hopes of a parent, a spouse, or loved one? Are your vocal chords leading the way, or are you humming someone else's song? I urge you not to leave this earth with your music still in you. Listen to your inner voice and then belt out your song to the best of your ability. Whether you have an audience of one or an audience of none, you can be sure that somewhere in the world, someone, call him God, or spirit, or consciousness has stopped to listen.
CONTEMPLATION
Today's offering comes from Celine Dion. She says:
"When people come to me and say, "I want to be just like you; the only thing I want in life is to sing," I tell them this: "Please don't make your career your life. Let it be your passion, let it bring you pleasure, but don't let it become your identity. You are so much more valuable than that.
Learn to build your foundations. Figure out your likes and dislikes, and don't ever be afraid to express them. If you can realize you are capable of many things, you'll be able to survive anything life throws at you."

Leena's Mantra for Living Yoga, Celebrating Life: EXPRESS YOUR TRUTH
So often we miss the bigger picture and in doing so we limit our growth. We define ourselves by our career, our abilities, what people do and don't say about us. We form our identity based on other people's limited notions about who we are.
The universe is a place of infinite possibility and the only thing that hinders our progress is our mindset. We each have within us a gift and we channel it to make our unique contribution to the world. It is wonderful to be blessed with incredible talent. If we are respected, admired and supported along the way then we are fortunate, but let us also remember that we are worthy in our own right. Let us define ourselves not by our fame and fortune, but by what we have offered to another human being that has lifted their heart.
Wishing you a spectacular Thanksgiving. Let this be one for opening your heart to loved ones, Taking Chances and fulfilling the deepest desires that are residing within your heart.
